America, Patriotism and In God We Trust

I was raised in the United States of America and taught to respect God, the flag and our country.  As years go by we have slowly let these original values fall by the wayside and then wonder what is wrong with our country and our children.


Many ask, "Why is there so much violence, crime and meanness in the world and why does God let these things happen?"

People, wake up!  We have allowed the values that this country was founded on to be changed or voted out by a self-serving government and our Constitution is being slaughtered, law-by-law, day-by-day. 

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under. ~Ronald Reagan

Good day to you. If you've found your way back to this abandoned blog I created years ago, then I welcome you. I started this blog in 2012 (8 years ago). It's a mish-mash of a little bit of everything. My husband had died 4 years earlier (2008) and I was still not handling my loss very well at all. I jumped from here to there online trying to find my way. Never really did find my way, until recently. I've let my writing go dormant much longer than I intended. Here it is 12 years and 4 months since my husband's death and I actually believe I'm learning how to cope with the loss more than ever in the last few months. I've started sewing and quilting again.
